Please keep Pastor Bob Frederich and the extended family in your prayers. Yesterday, October 9th, Bob’s wonderful wife, Nona, slipped the bonds of this world and went to see the Savior that she loved. Even though this was unexpected, he had the opportunity to be with her all day, and was by her side when she passed.
UPDATE: Family has arrived from all over the globe. Details on the memorial service: 10 am at First Baptist Church of Portland on Monday.

I leave us with a bit of biography, provided for us by Herbert Lockyer in Last Words of Saints and Sinners.
John Brooks (1825), Governor of Massachusetts, affirmed on his deathbed: “I see nothing terrible in death. I’m looking to the future; I have no fears. I know in whom I have believed. I look back upon my past life with humility. I am sensible of many imperfections that cleave to me. I now rest my soul on the mercy of my Creator, through the only Mediator, His Son, our Lord. Oh, what ground of hope there is in that saying with Paul that God is in Christ reconciling the guilty world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them.”
May we live our lives today holding to the same priorities that will strengthen us in that day.
Praising God for Nona’s impact on so many lives @ Galilee Baptist Church; where she was our beloved pastor’s wife and where she ministered in so many ways to each member of the church family and all who knew her & her love for the Lord.
She was an inspiration, a model, a friend. Our loss is heaven’s gain; we rejoice she is without pain, whole again and in His Presence.
Our love, prayers and sympathy for Pastor Bob and all the family.
