Someone once said, “He who fails to plan, plans to fail.” When it comes to reading God’s Word you and I need a plan. Here are some to consider.
- 40 Day Reading Plan. This is a great place to start, especially if you’ve never followed a daily reading schedule. Or…if you’ve tried and failed (once or many times!) at reading through the Bible in a year. The 40 Day Reading plan will take you through some of the most important parts of Scripture and give you a bird’s eye view of God’s Redemption Story.
- ESV Bible Reading Plans. There are over 10 different plans to choose from. The M’Cheyne One-Year Plan is one of the most tried and true.
- ESV Reading Plans as Podcasts. Ok, so you say “I don’t have time to read.” or “I hate reading.” Well even those excuses don’t hold water. Now you can download/subscribe to the audio and listen to God’s Word on your MP3 player, your radio, in your car, in your home….Follow the steps, it works! Each daily podcast averages about 15 minutes.
- 3 Year Reading Plan. Reading through the Bible in one year is a feat! It’s a great goal. But it’s not a divine goal. So whether you read the Bible entirely in one year or three years, the point is to read with a hunger to hear from God and with thankfulness that he has really spoken to us through his Word. Here’s a plan that’s flexible, communal, realistic, and balanced.
